| Amateur Radio Licensing CoursesOur licensing courses are held at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and consists of 9 weekly sessions. Classes are taught for all 3 license levels: Technician, General, and Amateur Extra using the ARRL License Manuals, which are available for purchase through RARA. Class space is limited and reservations are highly recommended. Morse Code is no longer required to obtain a license due to changes in FCC regulations. However, interested parties can contact our Education Coordinator for information on available Morse Code training. Fees for current RARA members*:
If you complete a course and do not successfully pass the exam, you may retake the course at no charge. Registration for our spring semester is currently underway. | ||||||||
